Seven Riverview artists will display photographs at Allen County Library

Seven Riverview Middle School students were recognized in the 2016 Allen County Public Library Teen Photography competition.

Riverview’s winners in the Junior Division (ages 11-14) were:

• Brynn Caley, eighth grade, first place for “Path Out of Poverty” and third place for “Dorothea Lange Study.”

• Joshua McDaniel, seventh grade, honorable mention for “Abstract 1.”

• Paige Starr, eighth grade, honorable mention for “Dreary Day.”

• Olivia Utterback, eighth grade, honorable mention for “Pearls of a Queen.”

Other photographs chosen for the teen photography exhibit were:

• Katelynn Arnold, seventh grade, “Burst of Fall Colors.”

• Mallory Emley, eighth grade, “Ashes to Ashes.”

• Gabby Line, eighth grade, “Road to Success.”

This year, 147 photographers entered 343 photographs in the competition, and 50 were chosen to be a part of the Teen Photography Exhibit. The exhibit will be on display in the Jeffrey R. Krull Gallery at the Main Library, 900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne from May 22 through July 10.
