Future Farmers to hold fund-raiser on Oct. 1

The Wayne Township Future Farmers 4-H Club will hold its annual fall fund-raiser on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The sale of mums, pumpkins and gourds will take place at Mt. Etna United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Ind.-9 and Ind.-124.

The club will use the proceeds from the sale for service projects and donations during the upcoming 4-H year.

In 2016, the Wayne Township Future Farmers used proceeds from previous sales to purchase a tree and bench. Members donated their time to paint bleachers and picnic tables for Huntington County 4-H. The club also donated some of the proceeds to purchase several animals through Heifer International.

Club members spent a Saturday morning sharing baby animals with residents of Heritage Pointe, in Warren.
