Huntington County Master Gardeners to explain rain barrels

Gardening enthusiasts can learn to make a rain barrel during the March forum sponsored by the Huntington County Master Gardeners.

The session will be held March 6, beginning at 9 a.m., at Hier's Park.

Each participant will leave with a fully operational rain barrel. The barrels can be used to collect rain water, which can then be used in the garden. Collecting rain water for use in watering the garden conserves water and fits in with the current trend of "going green."

There is a fee for materials and class size is limited to 25. To register, call the Extension office at 358-4826.
