Girl Scout cookies will go on sale this Friday

Girl Scout cookies go on sale locally this Friday, Jan. 13. Cookie sales will continue through March 15.

This year’s sale features eight varieties of cookies, including the new S’mores cookie, a crisp graham cookie double dipped in crème icing and finished with a chocolatey coating. Returning favorites include Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Shortbread, Caramel deLites, Lemonades and Thanks-A-Lot. All of the varieties freeze well.

Cookies can be purchased from any Girl Scout or from cookie booths that will be set up around the area. Daisy Troop 50539 will hold a cookie booth at Owen’s North on Friday, Jan. 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 14, from noon to 2 p.m. Future cookie booths will be listed each Friday on the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana (GSNI-M) Facebok page.

Businesses that want a troop to sell cookies at their location can make that request online at www.gsnim.org.
