Donors to Community and Family Services can receive state tax credits

Contributions made to Community and Family Services can qualify the donor for Indiana tax credits.

The tax credits are available through a Neighborhood Assistance Program grant awarded by the state to Community and Family Services.

Anyone who makes a donation of $100 or more is qualified to receive a tax credit on their Indiana state income tax return of 50 percent of the donation. Donations made prior to March 31 can be used for a tax credit on the 2017 return.

A limited number of tax credits is available and will be given out on a first come, first served basis.

Community and Family Services is a not-for-profit community action agency serving six counties, including Huntington County. Programs include Head Start, Women Infants and Children (WIC), Energy Assistance Program (EAP), food pantries, weatherization, housing choice vouchers, blight elimination, Huntington County Free Health Clinic and Huntington House homeless shelter.
