The Huntington North High School Winter Color Guard has advanced to the divisional state finals this Saturday, March 13, at Center Grove High School in Indianapolis.
This is the first season for the Winter Guard and the guard instructor is Brittany Krieg, of Huntington.
Krieg says that after the guard's first competition, it was promoted into the next class because of its score.
The teams perform for scores and receives ratings of bronze, silver or gold.
There are 12 HNHS girls on the team.
