HNHS FFA does well at District VI Convention

Ten Huntington North High School FFA members attended the District VI FFA Convention and competed in a variety of speaking contests, demonstrations and other events on Friday, March 17. Ten Huntington North High School FFA members attended the District VI FFA Convention on March 17, competing in speaking contests, demonstrations and other events.

Kiara Dominguez received a first-place proficiency award for her documented equine science work experience.

Hailey Alford placed first in both the freshman extemporaneous speaking and FFA creed presentation contests.

Cheyenne Karst and Savannah Jones finished second with their food science demonstration.

The quiz bowl team, consisting of Hailey Alford, Savannah Jones, Victoria Keiffer and Madelynn Keiffer, placed second.

Cora Hill placed first in the extemporaneous speaking and prepared public speaking contests. She also placed second in the leadership ambassador event.

As a chapter, Huntington North finished fourth in overall points and received a second-place chapter meeting contest award.
