The winter reading program at the Andrews-Dallas Township Public Library drew a record 17 families who read more than 1,250 hours, library director Nancy Disbro reports.
Families counted all the time each person in the household read. Every hour earned a ticket toward a drawing for prize baskets and participants could also choose prizes based on the hours read. Each family that took part received a family participation basket.

Winners of the six prize baskets were:

• The Perdue Family, including Cody, Emily, Ryan and Renee Perdue, winning the Book Lovers basket.

• Sharon Laupp, winning the Indiana Pride basket.

• The Manes Readers, including Elizabeth and Karla Manes, winning the Baking Buddies basket.

• Team Hero, including Mike, Kari and Emmalee Bartkus, winning the Scientist Start-Up basket.

• The Red Hots, including Sammie and Mavrick Howell, winning the Movie Night basket.

• The Enchanted Diamonds, including Ryan, Carly, Graison and Lucas Sexton, winning the Odd One Out basket.
