INDOT to resume I-69 bridge work this week

The Indiana Department of Transportation will resume work this week on replacement of two bridges on I-69.

The bridges are located over Flat Creek, in Huntington County, and over Eight Mile Creek, in Allen County.

Temporary bridges were constructed in the medians at both locations in 2016.

Contractors will begin constructing the northbound bridges at both locations today, Monday, April 3. Northbound traffic will be shifted to the temporary bridges. A construction zone speed limit of 55 miles per hour will be enforced.

Southbound bridges over both creeks are scheduled to be replaced later this year and should be complete in late 2017.

Kenny Construction Company holds the $4.8 million contract.
