Stacey Elzey Bischoff has announced that she is a candidate for the Republican nomination for Huntington County Clerk.
Bischoff, a lifelong Huntington resident, was employed as a procurement technician by Donor Services of Indiana for three years. In that position, she says, she was required to be familiar with and follow many standard operating procedures as well as medical and government requirements.
She assists in the management of Rainbow Lanes, where she coordinates youth programs, serves as 4-H bowling leader and youth bowling leader and coached the Lady Vikings bowling team. She has also worked in recordkeeping and set up a database at the bowling alley.
Bischoff notes that she has also worked as an insurance agent, notary public and as a preplanning consultant at a local funeral home, where she developed a Web site.
"My purpose for running for Huntington County Clerk is to serve the county of Huntington and to help put the pieces of this broken puzzle back together with the help of the citizens of Huntington County," Bischoff says.
She says she will listen to the citizens, uphold open communication with other county offices and encourage residents to share their ideas.
