Stephanie Jerabek, of Huntington, was installed as the state president of the Indiana Extension Homemakers Association  during the 104th Home and Family Conference held June 5 through 7 in Indianapolis.

During a gala celebration on the last evening of the conference, Jerabek received her gavel from outgoing President Cathy Cook, of Trafalgar. Jerabek’s husband, Joel, two daughters, a son and granddaughter also attended the celebration.

Extension Homemakers attending the conference from Huntington County were Teresia Beaty, Pharaba Campbell, Pam Fausz, Karen Hinshaw, Carol Holmes, Rita McCabe, Barb Mills, Alice Roth, Pam Will and Nancy Vickery. They attended several sessions throughout the week and also made crafts.

The group also attended the Melody Makers Choral concert at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, where they listened to around 400 IEHA members from around the state perform. The keynote speaker, Sam Glenn, spoke with his topic being “Be Your Own Superhero,” focusing on living the best version of yourself and using your strengths to make positive contributions.

The three-day event ended with the gala banquet and Jerabek’s installation.
