Kids can cook, grownups can sell at library events

Upcoming events at the Huntington Branch of the Huntington City-Township Public Library include a ramen noodle workshop and a class on apps and websites that allow users can sell items.

The ramen noodle workshop will take place Oct. 9 at 4:30 p.m. The program, part of the Kids Cooking series, is open to children ages 8 through 12.

Attendees will learn how to turn a packet of ramen soup into a nutritious meal. No cooking experience is necessary for those who attend.

The class on marketplace apps and websites is set for Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. This adult event, “Selling Online: Apps to Support Your Side Hustle,” will see attendees learn about LetGo, OfferUp, Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace.

Attendees will also learn how to improve their sales with better descriptions and pictures, plus how to be safe when buying and selling online.

Attendees may bring their own device or use the library’s computers during the class. Registration is required and can be completed at www.hctpl.info/ program-reg or by calling 356-0824.
