FW singer to serve on LAC fund-raiser group

Lisa Loza, a vocalist with the Fort Wayne-based group Urban Legend, will serve as arts advocate at the LaFontaine Arts Council’s fall fund-raiser, Fashions for the Arts, on Nov. 4.

Loza began singing solos at church at age 4, was a member of the church choir in her teens and performed with an award-winning show choir in high school.

She has been the lead singer with several local music groups. She continues to sing and teach voice to several students, including her daughter, Hadlee.
As arts advocate, Loza will speak about the importance of the arts, especially as they relate to children.

Fashions for the Arts also features a luncheon, silent auction and a fashion show with local models wearing clothes from he North End Boutique, in Roanoke. A social hour begins at 11 a.m.

Fashions for the Arts will be presented at the Forks of the Wabash Historic Park, Huntington.

Proceeds will support the LaFointaine Arts Council’s Arts in Education programming, which brings art-related experiences to all students in Huntington County.
