Book boutique, candle making class among library activities

A book boutique and candle-making class are among events this month at the Huntington City-Township Public Library.

The Friends of the Library will hold their annual Holiday Book Boutique on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Huntington branch. Both hardcover and softcover books will be available, of gift-giving quality, at a fraction of the cost of new books. There will be books for all ages, classics and bestsellers for sale.

The Huntington branch also invites teens to create and scent their own candles at the Holiday Candle Making Workshop to be held Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. at the Huntington branch.

Teens will learn how to make their own candles using soy wax and choose scents for their candles, which make great holiday gifts. No registration is required and this program is free.

The Huntington branch is at 255 W. Park Drive, Huntington.
