Trinity UMC to host Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 23

Trinity United Meth-odist Church will have its annual free Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

This is the 32nd year that Trinity has sponsored the meal, which is open to the public and free of charge. Last year 655 meals were served, with 125 people volunteering from 14 churches.

Carry-outs will be available from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day for those who wish to take meals home.

Those who cannot come to the dinner or who receive Meals on Wheels can call the church office at 356-0961 today, Monday, Nov. 20 or Tuesday, Nov. 21, between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to order a delivery. Tuesday, Nov. 21, is the last day to order meals. The church office is closed on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Volunteers are needed to help at the church kitchen today, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon and again on Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m. to noon or help with serving, deliveries and greeting, or from noon to 2 p.m. for cleanup.

Donations of pies and jello salads are also sought. Volunteers are also needed on Friday, Nov. 24 to put the hall back together.
