LaFontaine Arts Council honors Crestivew trio

Carson Kitchen, Eva Thomson and Brianna McIntyre, all eighth grade students at Crestview Middle School, have been recognized as students of the month for November by the LaFontaine Arts Council.

Kitchen, who was honored for his achievements in band, was nominated by Crestview teacher Doug McElhaney. Kitchen is a two-year member of the All-Region Band, has participated in the solo and ensemble contest and serves as a section leader.

He is the son of Elizabeth and Peter Kitchen.

Thomson, who was honored for her achievements in choir, was nominated by teacher Bryan Ringo. Thomson was a member of the cast of “Aladdin,” earned a gold award at the solo and ensemble contest and has performed multiple solos in concerts.

She is the daughter of Shane and Christy Thomson.

McIntyre was nominated for her work in visual art by teacher Liesl Haupert, who noted McIntyre’s hard work and creativity.

She is the daughter of Steve Mcintyre.
