Karilyn Riehle, a Huntington University junior from Churubusco, has received the American FFA Degree from the National FFA Organization.

The American FFA Degree is awarded to members who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to FFA and made significant accomplishments in their supervised agricultural experiences. Requirements include at least three community service activities totaling 50 hours or more.

Fewer than 1 percent of FFA members receive  the award each year.

Riehle, who is majoring in agribusiness marketing, is the fifth HU student to earn the degree, notes Dr. Raymond Porter, director of the university’s Haupert Institute for Agricultural Studies.
