Evangelical Community choir to present Christmas musical

The Evangelical Community Christmas Choir will present the Christmas musical “Noel-Night of Everlasting Love” in four performances this week at Evangelical United Meth-odist Church, 1000 Flaxmill Rd., in Huntington.

Performances are set for Thursday, Dec. 14, and Friday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

The musical, written by Derric Johnson and orchestrated by J. Daniel Smith, contains unique arrangements of popular Christmas songs.

Among the selections are “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” “Away in a Manger,” “O Holy Night!,” “Angels from the Realms of Glory” and “The Hallelujah Chorus.”

Choir members are from Lancaster Wesleyan Chur-ch, Life Community Church, New Hope United Brethren Church, St. Peter’s First Community Church, Union Church and Evangelical United Meth-odist Church.

The choir is directed by Mark Kiefer.

Admission is free, and a freewill offering will be taken for Huntington County Relay for Life.
