St. Peter’s First Community Church announces several holiday events

St. Peter’s First Community Church has several Christmastime events planned.

The church will hold Advent services on Thursday, Dec. 14, and Thursday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m. Children are welcome, but no nursery or children’s programming will be provided.

Cookie decorating will take place at the church on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The cookies will be included in Christmas bags for shut-ins and will be served during fellowship time on Sunday, Dec. 17. Participants are welcome to bring a dozen cookies to share.

A Happy Birthday, Jesus Christmas party for the SPFCC kids will take place Sunday, Dec. 17. Children fifth grade and younger are invited to join for a morning of activities, snacks and more to celebrate the Savior’s birth.

Volunteers are needed to help make pancakes for breakfast after the Christmas Day service at 9:30 a.m. Anyone interested in helping is asked to contact Megan Engle in the church office.

Homework Help is in need of additional volunteers from Dec. 14 to Dec. 21, after the Huntington University student volunteers have concluded their semester. Volunteers are especially needed from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 3:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information contact Megan Condry.
