Jane Seely may be a new face at Smith Furniture, but the Huntington resident has been a familiar face around town for several years.

Seely started with Smith as a sales associate on Dec. 15. She said she’s happy to be with the furniture company, which has been a familiar friend to her and her family for years as well.

“I’ve known the Smith family my whole life,” she says. “I feel like I’m very comfortable here with them, knowing them, and I’ve shopped here. My furniture comes from here. My parents shopped here. So I was very familiar with them and their products are awesome.”

Seely graduated from Huntington North High School in 1977. Prior to joining Smith Furniture, she was the resource manager at the United Brethren National Office, and she worked as a hairdresser for 35 years.

She says her goal in her new position is to create happy customers and meet people’s needs.

“I enjoy the public and just people in general, and so to be able to help them find what they want and need is my goal and my purpose,” she adds.

Seely works Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

She may be reached at the store at 356-3010.
