PHH holding free pressure checks on Tuesdays

According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the No. 1 cause of death in the United States. In the U.S., approximately 790,000 people have a heart attack each year – that’s about one every 40 seconds. Those who understand the facts about heart health, however, can reduce their risk for developing heart disease and learn how to live healthy.

During February, also known as American Heart Month, Parkview Health, in partnership with the Parkview Heart Institute (PHI) and Parkview’s community hospitals, will host a series of heart-healthy events and activities aimed at increasing the awareness of heart disease.

Locally, Parkview Huntington Hospital’s main lobby will be the location of free blood pressure check-ups on Tuesdays, Feb. 6 through Feb. 27, from 8 a.m. to noon.
