Eagles, hawks lesson at UWIS Feb. 28

Preschool-age children and their adults are invited to Salamonie Preschool’s “Eagles and Hawks” on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

The class will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and again from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Salamonie Interpretive Center in Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area, Andrews.

Children will learn about the similarities and differences between eagles and hawks.

Each program is designed to enhance the preschooler’s education, including learning letters, building a craft, social interaction and time outdoors, always with a nature-related theme.

There is a program fee per child and advance registration is appreciated. Register by calling Upper Wabash Interpretive Services at 468-2127.

UWIS is located at 3691 S. New Holland Rd., Andrews.
