Three from Huntington County make Bishop Luers Top 10

The Top 10 academic students of the Bishop Luers Class of 2018 have been announced. Bishop Luers High School has announced the Top 10 academic students of the class of 2018, and the list includes three students from Huntington County — Garrett Scheiber, of Huntington, and Roanoke residents, Megan Gilpin are Jonathan Woehnker.

Scheiber is a member of St. Mary Parish, Huntington, and attended Huntington Catholic School. He plans to study mechanical engineering at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology.

Gilpin attended Crestview Middle School. She plans to study athletic training at Mount St. Joseph University.

Woehnker is a member of St. Joseph Parish, Roanoke. He attended St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School. He plans to study finance at Purdue University.

The remaining students on the list are valedictorian Margaret Cicchiello, salutatorian Adam Veldman, Allyson Emmett, Benjamin Fink, Mitchell Gigli, Camille King, Emily McManus and Sara Quinn.

Cicchiello, of Fort Wayne, is a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and attended St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School. She plans to study biology at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame.

Emmett, of Fort Wayne, is a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and attended St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School. She plans to follow a pre-vet track at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame.

Fink, of Fort Wayne, is a member of St. John the Baptist Parish and attended St. John the Baptist School. He plans to study civil engineering at Purdue University.

Gigli, of Fort Wayne, is a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and attended St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School. He plans to study actuarial science at Purdue University.

King, of Fort Wayne, is a member of Imani Baptist Temple and attended Lutheran South Unity School. She plans to study neuroscience and French at Earlham College.

McManus is a member of St. John the Baptist Parish, Fort Wayne, and attended St. John the Baptist School. She plans to study exercise science and kinesiology at Aquinas College.

Quinn, of Fort Wayne, is a member of St. John the Baptist, Fort Wayne. She attended St. John the Baptist School and Miami Middle School. She plans to study pre-medicine at IUPUI.

Veldman is a member of St. John the Baptist Parish, Fort Wayne, and attended St. John the Baptist School. He plans to study international relations at Georgetown University.
