Mason earns Ed, Polly Roush Scholarship

The Huntington County Community Foundation announces that Conner Mason, of Markle, is the recipient of the 2018 J. Edward and Polly Roush Scholarship to attend Huntington University.

Mason is a graduating senior from Huntington North High School. He will be attending Huntington University majoring in agriculture with a minor in environmental science.

He is the son of Jennifer and Halden Mason.

A nine-year member of 4-H, Mason has been involved in the HNHS marching band, swim team, youth group and student council, as well as National Honor Society. His volunteer activities center around mission trips with the Bluffton Church of the Nazarene.

This scholarship fund was created in 1997 by a donation from Stanley Matheny and matched by the Lilly Endowment to honor his friends, J. Edward and Polly Roush, and in honor of the centennial of Huntington College. Distributions are directed toward scholarships for Huntington County youth attending Huntington University.
