Extension groups invite public to free viewing of anti-bullying movie

Purdue Extension and Huntington County Extension Homemakers invite the public to a free viewing of “Reject: A Documentary Film” on Oct. 1, at 6 p.m.

The showing of the documentary will be held in the First Merchants Bank Heritage Hall at the Huntington County Fairgrounds.

“Reject” is a film that takes a science-based look at the roots of both bullying and violent behavior in all age groups. Different specialists and individuals appear in the documentary to help not only explain the science behind bullying and ostracization, but to also show ways to prevent future generations from reverting to this detrimental state of being. Due to the seriousness of the topic and documentary, this is recommended for youth in high school and adults.

Finger foods will be served at the beginning. A discussion will end the event. Registration is required by Sept. 24.

To register or for more information contact Purdue Extension at 358-4826 or email Deidre Gray at gray110@purdue.edu.
