Animal hibernation program at Salamonie Preschool

Children and their adults are invited to come learn about hibernation at Salamonie Preschool’s “Animals Hibernate” program on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Salamonie Interpretive Center from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and again from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The program is for preschool-age children ages 2 to 5 and will cover how some animals survive the cold by sleeping away the winter months. There will also be a hike, weather permitting.

Each program is designed to enhance preschoolers’ education, including music, building a craft, social interaction and time outdoors, always with a nature-related theme.

There is a program fee per child. Advance registration is appreciated and can be done by calling Upper Wabash Interpretive Services at 468-2127.
