Therapy dogs to be at library

Therapy dogs will once again be a familiar sight at the Huntington City-Township Public Library on Saturdays in March and April.

Paws to Read is a program for reluctant or budding readers to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to a registered therapy dog. Sessions take place every Saturday morning at the Huntington branch from March 16 to April 13, and at the Markle branch on March 23 and April 13.

Registration is required. Call the Huntington library’s children’s desk at 2356-2900 or the Markle library main desk at 758-3332 to sign up a child.

The Huntington branch is located at 255 W. Park Drive, Huntington; the Markle branch at 155 W. Sparks St., Markle.
