Members of the Roanoke Volunteer Fire Department are pictured beside the new custom-built rescue pumper, Engine 701, which cost around $500,000. About 40 people attended the ceremony for the new vehicle Saturday, March 9, which included a blessing, traditional “baptism” of the truck and a reception.
