Huntington County Council on Aging sponsors Historic Dixie boat trip

The Huntington County Council on Aging is sponsoring a trip on the Historic Dixie for Seniors, family members and friends of Seniors on Wednesday, July 10.

The Historic Dixie is Indiana’s oldest stern wheel sightseeing boat, plying the waters of Webster Lake since 1929. It is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

The cruise lasts approximately 75 minutes.

The bus will leave the Senior Center at 9 a.m. The Dixie tour is at 11 a.m. Payment is required at registration. Lunch will be extra after the boat ride at approximately 12:15 p.m. at the Pizza King.

The cost of the trip includes boat ticket and transportation to and from Lake Webster. Reservations are now being taken at the Senior Center, 500 MacGahan St., Huntington.

Reservations must be made by July 5.
