Legion taking Fall Festival Parade entries

American Legion Post 160, in Roanoke, is currently accepting entries for the Roanoke Fall Festival Parade, set for Sept. 7.

Entry forms are available at Post 160, located at 1122 N. Main St., Roanoke. Every parade entry must be registered with Post 160 to participate in the event.

The deadline to register is Aug. 31. Completed entry forms should be mailed to American Legion Post 160, 1122 N. Main St., Box 331, Roanoke, IN 46783.

The day of the parade, entries will gather in the parking lot at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 641 N. Main St. Entries will start lining up for the parade at 2 p.m. and the event will get underway at 3 p.m.

Awards will be handed out in the following categories: Commander’s Trophy; Overall Trophy; men’s color guard; floats; antique vehicle; motorized vehicle; most unusual; clowns; and horses.

Awards will be handed out at Post 160 following the parade.
