State Sen. Andy Zay (R-Huntington) and other Indiana lawmakers attended the annual meeting of the National Council of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) in Austin, TX, from Dec. 10 to 13.

NCOIL is a legislative organization that brings together policymakers serving on insurance and financial committees and educates them on current insurance issues.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to meet with other legislators from across the country on insurance topics,” said Zay. “Insurance costs are important to Hoosiers and are a vital part of our public policy discussions at the Statehouse. As a ranking member on the Senate Committee on Insurance and Financial Institutions, I was eager to learn more about better ways to address rising health care costs in Indiana.”
