The Fort Wayne Pet Food Pantry is distributing pet food for anyone in need every other Tuesday in downtown Roanoke.

Pam Tracy, founder of the pantry, was set up on Tuesday night, Aug. 4, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with volunteer and Roanoke resident Jessica Harkless to hand out pet food to anyone who stopped by.

The duo will be continuing the pop-up style set up through the end of the month, and possibly even further out, as long as weather allows, says Tracy.

The pantry has been open for 10 years, and Tracy says they are trying to branch out.

She says this style of distribution allows for social distancing and helps the pantry reach more folks who are in need.

The next set up will be on Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the corner of Main and Fourth Streets, next to the library.
