The Cottage Event Center in Roanoke will resume its schedule of entertainment Sept. 25 using a more social distancing friendly floor plan. The facility’s first event since the Covid-19 shut down will feature Country Rock band Sugar Shot. A portion of the proceeds of the concert will benefit the Roanoke Public Library.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and music begins at 7:30 p.m.

Sugar Shot, with a previous lineup, has performed several times at The Cottage Event Center. The group is led by lead singer/rhythm guitarist Jen Fisher. Also in the band are Jonah Leatherman, lead guitar and vocals; Tommy Myers, bass and vocals; Gary Martin, pedal steel guitar; and John Foxworthy, drums and vocals.

Barbecued pulled pork sandwiches will be available for purchase and a cash bar will also be available.

Due to COVID-19 precautions the number of available seats will be reduced. Smaller tables will be placed with more room around the venue to allow for social distancing and guests are encouraged to wear a mask when entering and whenever not in their seat.

Tickets are available by calling 483-3508, online at cottageeventcenter.com and at John’s Meat Market in Roanoke.
