During its special meeting that took place on Monday, March 29, the Warren Town Council held a public hearing regarding Ordinance 2021-4, an ordinance that would establish rates and charges within the waterworks of the town.
According to minutes of the special meeting, Ben Adams, of Commonwealth Engineering, reviewed the scope of the project and the necessitites of the project. Adams was followed by Greg Guerrettaz, of Financial Solutions Group, who summarized a rate report from Tuesday, Feb. 16, that acted as the foundation for the new ordinance.
Following discussion, public comment was opened. Support of the project was voiced and public questions were answered.
A motion to adopt the ordinance as introduced was passed unanimously.
In other business, a request was made by a citizen to have a vacant house scheduled for inspection.
Council plans to notify the Department of Community Development about the issue.
