Right to Life discusses Respect Life Month

At the September meeting of the Huntington County Right to Life organization, plans for Respect Life Month were discussed.

The 2020 Little Christmas Sock Project has had 303 responses with $,7987.36 in donations, which will be used to cover office expenses. So far, 244 memberships, three of which are new members, for 2021 have been received.

At the office, Pat Bickel reported eight donations including $302 from the Knights of Columbus during August and $42.20 from greeting card sales.

Assistance was provided to four individuals.  Items provided were infant and toddler clothes, a walker, three miscellaneous items and four packs of diapers.

Upcoming plans include the possibility of pro-life billboards, fetal development ads, a membership reminder and a pro-life proclamation.

During the following weeks and months, the office will be closed from time to time due to medical reasons.  People are asked to call before stopping by.  Also, the office will be closed Oct. 18 through 22.

The next meeting will take place on Thursday, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m., at 34 E. Washington St.
