Known for a vocal style often compared to Bill Withers and Boz Scaggs, singer and drummer Todd Harrold will present an evening of music with a soulful twist on Friday, Oct. 8, at The Cottage Event Center in Roanoke. A portion of the proceeds from the concert will benefit The Roanoke Volunteer Fire Department.
Harrold has been named Whatzup Magazine Jazz Artist of The Year eight times and R & B Artist of The Year twice. He has shared the stage with well-known national acts including The Doobie Brothers, Leon Russell, and K.C. and The Sunshine Band. The Oct. 8 fundraiser is Harrold’s first appearance at the Roanoke venue.
Appearing with Harrold will be Keyboardist Eric Clancy and guitarist Dan Mowan.
Tickets may be purchased at John’s Meat Market in Roanoke, by calling 483-3508 or online at cottageeventcenter.com. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the music begins at 7:30. Oley’s Pizza will be available for purchase by the slice before the show.
