DKG hosts convention

The Indiana State Organization of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International (DKG) hosted its “Celebrate the Society” Convention at the Primo Banquet and Convention Center in Indianapolis on Saturday, June 12.
Alpha Zeta Chapter members that attended were Roxanne Thomas, Barb Overdeer, Donna Ott, Barb Buroker, Carol Herzog, Mary Lou Fries, Mary Catherine Palmer and Chapter President Ann Ambler.

At the convention, there was a ceremony of remembrance, a business meeting, entertainment, a luncheon, recognition of chapter presidents, installation of state officers and an honors program.

Indiana State Organization Officers installed for the 2021-23 biennium were:
• Stephanie Walsh as President.
• Tiffany Ingles as First Vice President.
• Mary Catherine Palmer as Second Vice President (Alpha Zeta member).
• Nancy Durham as Secretary.

During the Honors Program, these Alpha Zeta members received certificates:
• Mary Catherine Palmer: 25-year member.
• Donna Ott: 40-year member.
• Mary Lou Fries: 60-year member.

Alpha Zeta Chapter received a Golden Key Honors Award certificate and a five-star newsletter award.

A silent basket auction was used as fundraiser for the DKG Emergency Fund. Alpha Zeta donated two baskets. The auction raised $1,200 for the cause.
Alpha Zeta Chapter members live and/or work in the counties of Grant, Huntington, Wabash and Whitley.
