Salamonie Lake will host a three-day Winter Forest Camp for those ages 7 through 13 on Wednesday, Dec. 29, to Friday, Dec. 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Salamonie Interpretive Center in the Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area.
The program will include hikes, building, practicing teamwork and cooperation, deepening social skills and making connections to grow children’s responsibility as stewards of the Earth. The entire class time will take place outdoors, rain, snow or shine, so attendees should dress for the weather.
There will be two sessions each day. There is a program fee for the package of six sessions per child. Additional siblings may be added on for a discounted fee.
Those who do not register by Monday, Dec. 6, will have to pay an increased fee per child. Advanced registration is required.
