Parkview Huntington Family YMCA hosted 2022 Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 23.
The event included a community expo, Fun Run, 5K, entertainment and program presentations, vision screenings and open swimming.
Approximately 20 different agencies and businesses were represented in the community expo, including the Huntington City-Township Public Library Bookworm.
YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative to improve health and well-being for kids and families and is celebrated at Y’s across the country.
The 5K first place division winners were as follows:
Females:
Ages 10 and under: Maggie Alsman
Ages 30-39: Ashley Wilson
Ages 40-49: Roxann Grogg
Ages 50-59: Tanya Latta
Ages 60-69: Diane Ackerman
Males:
Ages 30-39: Matthew Ackerman
Ages 40-49: Matthew Pflieger
Ages 50-59: Brian Johnson
Ages 60-69: Richard Ackerman
Ages 80+: James Lenn
The 5K overall fastest time winner was Matthew Ackerman with 21:28 .
