HELP program awards several scholarships

Huntington County HELP for Disabled Citizens announced their scholarships for the 2022-23 school year.

The recipients and the scholarship they were awarded are as follows:

• Kate Gradeless is the recipient of the John Decker Memorial Scholarship. Gradeless is a sophomore at Ball State University studying special education.

• Brianna Shane and Elaine Shaw is the recipient of the Jane Nes Memorial Scholarship.
Shane is a sophomore at Huntington University studying nursing.
Shaw is a sophomore at Indiana Wesleyan University studying nursing.
Additional scholarship recipients are as follows:

• Rebekah Brunner, a Manchester University freshman studying exercise & fitness and clinical & rehab sciences,

• Macy Campbell, a senior at Trine University sophomore studying nursing,

• Katie Davidson, a graduate student working towards her Master of Social Work at Indiana Wesleyan University,

• Mallory Emley, a Huntington University junior studying occupational therapy assisting,

• Lindsey Hunt, a Purdue Fort Wayne freshman studying speech therapy,

• Karmen Kock, a graduate student at Butler University pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy,

• McKinley Kramer, a Huntington University junior studying occupational therapy assisting,

• and Katie Melcher, a sophomore at the University of St Francis studying physical therapy and exercise science.
