HNHS to Host Vikings Football Camp July 11-13

Huntington North High School (HNHS) will be hosting a football summer camp July 11 – 13 from 6 – 8 p.m. for incoming grades one – eight at the new football stadium.

The camp costs $25, but if there are two or more from the same family it will be $20 each.

Each camper must arrive 20 minutes early on Monday to help with registration.

Participants will be divided into groups determined by the grade of the camper during the 2022-20223 school year.

The goal of this camp is to:

• Provide each camper with a fun-filled week with a chance to meet and learn with other boys their age from the Huntington County Community School Corporation,

• Teach fundamental skills of football in a manner that will not only be enjoyable but educational,

• Help build self-confidence in each camper’s abilities,

• Allow all campers to meet the varsity coaching staff and allow the staff to develop a relationship with the campers.

The camp includes a Vikings Football camp shirt will be given to each kid, teaching of fundamentals at each offensive, defensive, and special teams’ positions, teaching of terminology and plays that will be used with their fall team, and daily skills competitions.

Campers will get free admission to the first varsity game vs. Eastbrook on Aug. 19, Viking Football Youth Day, if they wear their shirt. They must wear the shirt for free admission. They will also get to run on the field with the players pre-game and will sit in the end zone with other campers.
