Marleigh LaVine wins competitions, conducts fundraiser

Marleigh LaVine competed in the Sunburst State pageant in Indianapolis and was crowned Indiana’s Overall Princess for ages 5 – 27.

She competed with approximately 50 contestants in both the 7 to 10-year-old division and the overall category that encompassed all contestants in the 5 to 27-year-old divisions.

She also competed in several other award categories, including swim, school, patriotic, and formal wear.

Her other winning titles were 1st place in school wear, 1st place in swim wear, 1st place in composite, 1st place in photogenic, best attire, and best personality.
She got 1st runner up in patriotic wear, portfolio, mail-in photo, and glamour.
LaVine will be giving back to her community by volunteering for events and conducting fundraisers.

Her first fundraiser will run thru Aug. 13. She is partnering with the Humane Shelter where she will be collecting items for all animals.
The drop-off location will be at Bend the Trend in downtown Huntington.

The Humane Shelter is looking for cat litter, cleaning supplies, treats, kitten food, canned chicken, and more.

LaVine cannot wait to represent Indiana by helping her community and being a good role model to girls.
