A new exhibit has opening at the Huntington County Historical Museum. “What is a Hoosier?” opened July 10 and will continue through Aug. 14. The museum is located at 315 Court St., Huntington. The traveling exhibit uses maps and informational graphics to highlight the statistical impact of changing ethnic groups over time. It shows how the comings and goings of newcomers to the state, through immigration or migration, habe created the Indiana known today, and how they will continue to shape the fture. The exhibit is made possible by the Indiana Historical Society and Kroger. In addition, photographs from various IHS collections and from institutions around the state bring to life the personal stories of immigration.
