The Paper Artisans Extension Homemakers Club is hosting a crop on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Heritage Hall at Hier's Park, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A crop is a day to get together with other scrap-bookers and card-makers to catch up on various projects, learn new techniques, observe demonstrations involving material and machines that others might be unfamiliar with and to enjoy reconnecting with friends and possibly make new ones.
There will be room to spread out and be creative, event officials say.
Vendors will also be on hand to demonstrate different and new techniques and also to answer questions. If anyone would like to demonstrate a technique, call Nancy Poulson at 356-6999 or via email at npoul son@med-web.com.
"Make it and take it" projects will be offered throughout the day at different intervals to sharpen participants' talents or teach them new tricks.
On the same day will be the Scrapbook Rummage sale. Visitors can purchase items for sale or bring their own pre-priced items to be sold. Sellers are asked that their names are on the items.
Rolls and coffee will be served, and snacks and water will be available during the day with a lunch served at noon.
There is a cost for the program, which depends on if participants choose to eat the lunch.
Send checks to Janice Smith, 4815 N. Old Fort Wayne Rd., Huntington, IN 46750. Include the names of all who will be attending.
The deadline to register is Oct. 1. Flyers and registration forms are available at the Purdue Extension office, 354 N. Jefferson St., Suite 202, in downtown Huntington.
