Huntington library honors its junior volunteers

The Huntington City-Township Public Library honored its junior volunteers on Friday, Sept. 24.

The junior volunteers perform many tasks at the library, including shelving books and library materials, unpacking boxes and checking contents, cutting out nametags and displays, cutting and sorting Campbell Soup labels, and helping assemble Happy Pacs for hospital use.

The volunteers also help with face painting during summer events, fill summer reading club packets, help with story times, change displays, help with young adult programming and fold, staple and collate copies.
In addition, the volunteers, dust, wash books and toys, vacuum and perform any other responsibilities as requested.

Junior volunteers for 2010 are Dustin Adamson, Emily Brown, Kayla Brunner, Zoe Carrillo, Taylor Cassatt, Rachel Cook, Abby Horne, Emily Horne, Matt Hunt, Monica Kaufman, Martha Kiningham, Kaitlyn Kline, Megan Leedy, Dunja Milinovic, Terry Miller, Zach Moody, Morgan Nightingale, Kate Niswander, Hanna Nissley, Hannah Peters, Hannah Ringo, Brianna Smith, Liz Smith, Molly Smith, Olivia Woolard and Andrew Working.
