Spring Family Festival geared to families

The Council Against Domestic Violence of Huntington County invites the public to the Fifth Annual Spring Family Festival.
This tobacco-free event is Saturday, April 25 in Heritage Hall at Hier's Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Various agencies and organizations serving children and families in Huntington County set up booths offering fun, educational activities, child-friendly entertainment and free snacks and prizes for children and their families.

Activities include arts and crafts, carnival games, musical performances, and hands-on educational experiences.

Red E. Fox and other local favorites will make special appearances at the festival, which is geared toward children ages 1-10 and their families.

Representatives and equipment from Huntington County Rescue, First Responders, Huntington Fire Department, and the Huntington Police and Huntington County Sheriff's departments will be available for children to see and speak with.

Admission is free and door prizes will be awarded to both children and adults.

The Spring Family Festival is designed to offer a tobacco-free, fun event for children in promotion of healthy family lifestyles. Participating also make connections with and provide information to parents about various services available to families in the community.

This event is made possible by donations from individuals, local clubs, agencies and businesses.
