Harris is 2009 DAR Good Citizen

Huntington North High School senior Alli Harris was recently named the 2009 DAR Good Citizen by the Samuel Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

Harris was selected by the chapter and guidance department and the award was presented during the chapter's April meeting.

Harris is currently president of the Huntington North Future Educator's Club; a member of the National Honor Society; 2009 class council and four-year member of the girls' varsity track and field team.

She is also a geometry tutor, six-year junior volunteer at the Huntington City-Township Library and a 10-year member of 4-H.

Harris was awarded a Good Citizen pin, ID card and certificate and her name has been place on the Madonna of the Trail statuette, displayed in the school's award trophy case.

She is the daughter of Ken and Bev Harris.
