Burnworth earns Robert Smith Scholarship

The 2009 Robert J. Smith Scholarship has been awarded to Megan Burnworth, of Huntington.

Burnworth is currently a senior at Huntington North High School. She plans to attend the University of Indianapolis, where she will pursue a degree as a physical therapy assistant.

The Huntington County Safety Council and Transwheel are the sponsors of the memorial scholarship.

The $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a high school senior who lives in Huntington County and wishes to pursue a career in a field related to health or safety. Selection is based on academics, ability and financial need.
