The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Lagg’s Automotive on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Lagg’s, which opened their Roanoke location in April, have now opened a Huntington location at 1885 N. Jefferson St.

Owners Andrew and Garin Stephan were both born and raised in Huntington, so they wanted to keep the business in the area.

The business offers full service mechanical, oil and lube, transmission and full detailing service, as well as in-house financing for vehicles. The Roanoke location is strictly a sales lot, while the Huntington location is where they fix the cars. They also have plans to start a U-haul rental out of the Roanoke location.
“Our main goal is to offer people with bad or no credit a better solution. Typical buy here pay here lots charge 24.9 percent interest and they loan out over five to six years,” Garin explained. “We are charging 14.9 percent and we are selling people on shorter term loans. We are not trying to bury people in a never ending rat race to try and make an overpriced car payment.”

Lagg’s Automotive may be reached at 358-1300 (Huntington) or at 673-9048 (Roanoke). They may also be contacted on their website at laggsautomo
tive.net or on their Facebook page.
