The Huntington Chiropractic Center hosted a food and hygiene item drive for Love INC from Monday, Oct. 18, to Friday, Nov. 19, as doctor, staff and patients contributed for the upcoming holiday season.
Food pantries, both locally and nationally, continue to face greater challenges in having enough supplies to distribute to families and individuals due to the pandemic and the current economic environment.
Items collected for Love INC included food items such as peanut butter, macaroni, canned vegetables and fruits, pancake mix, syrup, cereal, spaghetti sauce, rice and beans, as well as hygiene items such as laundry detergent, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo and deodorant.
Huntington Chiropractic Center representatives say that, during the season of Thanksgiving, they are “most thankful for the generosity of their patients in the form of donated items and cash in assisting our great community partner, Love INC.”
Huntington Chiropractic Center sponsors fundraisers for community not-for-profits throughout the year. Anyone who would like to volunteer with Love INC or make a donation may reach the organization at 356-9833.
